Here are the three places that serve the Japanese tea in Kanazawa.

The Nishida Family Garden
(Gyokusen-en Garden)


Gyokusen-en Garden takes its name from Gyokusen-in, the wife of the second lord of the Kaga clan, Toshinaga Maeda. The garden consists of a main garden, a west garden and an east garden. It is believed that all the largest trees in the garden were already growing on the site before the garden was laid out.

Nakamura Memorial Art Museum

The Nakamura family, local sake brewers, donated the home and tea ceremony art collection of a previous company president, Eishun Nakamura, to Kanazawa city.

Kanazawa Municipal Yasue Gold Leaf Museum

It is said that 99% of the gold leaf produced in Japan is from Kanazawa. The Yasue Museum, donated to Kanazawa city by the craftsman Yasue Komei, displays artwork employing gold leaf. Visitors can learn about the process of producing gold leaf.
