Ryuzo-Ji Temple

This old temple, and its tale of Jizo, a guardian Deity of Children that bought them candy, belongs to the Nichiren denomination.
It moved to this location, following Maeda Toshiie. Inside the gorgeously constructed gate, the widest of any local temple, are Christian lanterns said to have been brought by a Christian lord, Takayama Ukon, in the Azuchi Momoyama era. There is also a bell tower, a warehouse for Buddhist scriptures, and the tomb of Abuno Matsu, the 6th Yokozuna (a grand champion of sumo).
