Closer to Rokuto no Hiromi (a wider part of the road that serves as a square where local people gather or as a place of refuge) on the old Tsurugi Highway is the Shoto school temple.   Its large, tasteful, mossy Zen garden is well kept. The temple contains the tombs of various federal lords, warriors, and other prominent people, such as Kondo Risei, head of the Koryu school of flower arrangement, and a number of temple treasures.
